For a few days have been getting this message and not sure what it means. Have got Antivirus software installed.
Any ideas? And where it might have come from
Anyone know what TR/CRYPT-XPACK-GEN means?antispyware
It looks like it might be a trojan but you need to run hijackthis, save a log file and either submit it to an online hijackthis analyzer or a support forum full of geeks
Get hijackthis here

Follow the advice given here (also how to submit to a forum)

or submit for online analysis here:

be warned: hijackthis is not for beginners and should be used with caution
Anyone know what TR/CRYPT-XPACK-GEN means?best antivirus software
Your PC has been hit with a nasty. Is your anti-virus up to date? Have you considered also downloading %26 running Spybot and Ad-Aware both of which are free and very good.
this has something to do with a anti-virus program,it may be to do with avira anti-virus,is that your anti-virus software you installed
however this could well be malware, so a scan with your anti-virus should be done straight away,if this is clear try using a alternnative anti-virus and see if you encounter the same problem
i hope this has helped
Looks like a trojan to me from that I can find on the net. Have you patched you system with the latest service pack? I would also suggest trying another AV.
