Problem with my pendrive?

i have purchased a new pendrive a week before first 3 days it worked well n good but from then my antivirus software started detecting some virus in it n from then i am not able to format it. it is giving some message that it is write protected and make sure that blah blah.... so plzz tell me if there is any solution to format it i heard it can be formatted at boot time plzz help me

Well, I know a master format method to format the pendrive!!

this method forces and overrides any other operation to format the pendrive

just go to start%26gt;run%26gt;

type "cmd.exe"

then u will see ms dos opened

type "format"the drive letter of your pendrive (ex :- J or K or something like that) followed by a ":".

then leave a space between "format" and the "driveletter:"

then it will ask yes or no.

type y

then it will ask you whether to force dismount on the drive

then type y again

then ur pen drve will be formatted

if u can't get it out this way ur pen drive should be something else.
